Gaslighting: “It’s ALSO a bit 2 Timothy 3:1-6, maybe a sign of minister, leadership dysfunction” Apostle (former LP Saul) Paul

“”The Tune of Gaslighting..It’s an often used form or controlling “razzle dazzle, self centered, Jezebel sly spirit”

THE MODERN RELATIONSHIP TOPIC OF “GASLIGHTING”

ORIGIN OF THE TERM

The term “gaslighting” comes from the 1944 movie “Gaslight,” in which a husband manipulates his wife into believing she is going insane by gradually changing small details in their environment and then denying that they ever happened, making her question her own sanity.

MODERN DAY MEANING (used a lot in RELATIONSHIP “mind game playing” demeaning, objectifying, deep emotional intrigue, all sorts of “want to WIN” cagey drama)

Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation that involves causing someone to doubt their own perception of reality, memory, or sanity. It typically involves a series of subtle or overt behaviors that are designed to make the victim question their own thoughts, feelings, or experiences, and ultimately leads to a loss of confidence and trust in one’s own judgment.

THERE ARE TWO PARTS:

#1 – THE FIRST PART IS ME INQUIRING SPECIFICALLY OF CHAT GPT Ai…

REASON : I wanted an Objective View, one other than my own self. And I asked it the following:

Q. HOW DOES “GASLIGHTING” AFFECT BEING VIEWED AS TRUSTWORTHY?

Q. HOW DOES MINISTRY GASLIGHTING EFFECT “THE COMMUNITY” (the example might be a social circle, group of friends, a church) A BUSINESS, A MINISTRY?

#2 – THE SECOND PART IS FROM MYSELF, THIS AUTHOR.

I wanted to give my own personal ministry training views which include Bible Scriptures

And the REASON that I placed this part as SECOND what that, frankly, it was not until I had written my own article, that it occurred to me to invite that Ai to give me it’s official opinion.

""

PART 1: ME ASKING Ai ABOUT GASLIGHTING A FELLOW PERSON: (meaning this is mostly and hopefully directed toward the “Christian” human person)

SISTER TAVEAU:

Q. How does GASLIGHTING affect being trustworthy? Q. In a community?

REASON: I particularly desired to know its thoughts regarding “the community” as I have been among a powerful lot of false authority in ministry in recent years and noted “gaslighting,” “power playing,” “disrespectful objectifying,” and making it big using many people.

IT: Gaslighting can have a significant impact on trust in a community.

IT: When someone engages in gaslighting, they manipulate others into doubting their own perceptions, memories, and experiences. This can create confusion, self-doubt, and a sense of isolation, which can erode trust and make it difficult for people to rely on each other.

IT: In a community setting, gaslighting can damage trust in several ways. For example:

IT: It can create a culture of fear and mistrust: When people feel like their experiences and perceptions are constantly being undermined, they may begin to doubt not only themselves but also others in the community. This can create a sense of fear and paranoia that can make it difficult for people to trust each other.

IT: It can lead to a breakdown in communication: Gaslighting often involves manipulating language and distorting the truth. This can make it difficult for people to communicate effectively and honestly, which can lead to misunderstandings and further erode trust.

IT: It can create power imbalances: Gaslighting is often used as a tactic by people in positions of power to maintain control over others. This can create power imbalances in the community, which can make it difficult for people to trust each other and work together.

IT: Overall, gaslighting can have a significant impact on trust in a community. It is important for community members to be aware of this tactic and to work to create a culture of honesty, openness, and mutual respect. By doing so, they can build trust and create a sense of belonging that can help to strengthen the community as a whole.

SISTER TAVEAU: So let us beware as “church members” and/or top leaders, elders, staff, and lay.

""

PART 2 – TAVEAU’S VERY OWN Bible Scriptures PLUS:

PURE PURPOSE: For GASLIGHTING reminds me of the use of presumptive Christian leader “authority witchcraft,” see Verse Below:

1 Samuel 15:23 (KJV): “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.”

Although this is generally a new and hot modern youth topic, it applies to any age where relationship dysfunction means to use or control or to gain an advantage. This article is to call attention to and spell out gaslighting.

Today, I sensed the Lord’s spirit give me this hot topic and this link: 15 Gaslighting “Dismissive… Dehumanizing” Statements. It could be the general population, often dating and life relationships, many for the profit of others, and even in Christians, leaders, many groups, as there is a lot of 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (below) described Christian ministry accepted, often elite yet dysfunctional.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV): v1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. v2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, v3 Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, v4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; v5 Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

""

So I write:

I pen this to Christian leadership regarding the many relationships as it is a form of accusing false authority, which would be “white witchcraft” (1 Samuel 15:23 & Matthew 7:21-23 below).

1 Samuel 15:23 (KJV): “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”

Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV): v 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. v 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? v 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

We note in Matthew 7:22 (above) Jesus seems to specifically single out and warn Book of Acts leaders, especially to be very careful not to use lawlessness, iniquity in HIS Christian leadership as Strong’s Bible Concordance translates the word “lawless” to mean “use of false authority,” which then I feel implies “to take advantage” (cloaked, not forward on purpose, for the sake of “wanting something,” “to control,” “to win” at the disadvantage of another).

Usually, the term “to gaslight” is used in dating and in society more in the modern culture world, which I habitually pay attention to.

But here is the discovery, for those who do not know: Summing it up generally, this means that “you try to voice a valid hurt, pain, statement, or life view, but they immediately ‘pooh-pooh’ it as ‘you are not right to say this’ + ‘what I think is more valid than you’ (could be signs of control, narcissism, even demonic).

Any, or many times, all of this can be in a recent and/or close relationship, a friend, a counselor, and any type of group (the leaders, staff, or governors of, and in a Christian ministry, “signs of any type of cult”).

Ending: “Walk like a Nathanael.”

“Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him and said of him, ‘Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!'” John 1:47 ‘

“Let us live ‘no guile’ like the Christ.”
